_Brief

Cardiovascular diseases are the first cause of death in countries developed. However, 80% of cardiovascular diseases can be preventable by having a healthy life. For this reason, the Spanish Heart Foundation commissioned us a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of preventing heart disease.

_Strategy

For the World Heart Day, we designed a campaign that will allow the population to know how important it is to take care of their hearts. But moreover, we had to do it in a very notorious way since we did not have a budget for paid media or production.

_Idea

There is no illustrator who does not have a heart design in his portfolio. Knowing this insight, we asked 20 popular artists to donate their heart illustration. The campaign has the participation of great Spanish illustrators such as Boa Mistura, Bakea, Ricardo Cavolo, Moderna de Pueblo, Estudio Santa Rita, Isa Muguruza, Albaricoque, Drasan, SoyCardo, Customizarte, among others.

The illustrators transmitted his concept of heart, with its virtues, its defects and its scars, but emphasizing that all should be cared for equally.

Each illustration is accompanied by a key message to take care of the heart, all of them focused on cardiovascular risk factors, such as sedentary lifestyle, obesity, smoking, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol …

_Results

The campaign was launched on September 29, 2020, coinciding with World Heart Day and is still active today.

To date, it has achieved a significant impact in the media and Social Media. In addition, we have had the collaboration of different private companies and public bodies, such as the Transport Consortium, Metro de Madrid or JC Decaux, which have provided spaces for the dissemination of messages.
